Join us on a magical journey to The Northern Lights Basecamp – Lyngenfjord Hotel – where the chances of experiencing the Northern Lights are at their very best.

DAY 1:
Your journey begins aboard the Arctic Route bus from Tromsø, taking you through some of Northern Norway's most spectacular fjord landscapes. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the majestic Lyngen Alps, snow-covered mountains, and charming villages nestled along the fjord. Sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking scenery as you travel towards Skibotn and Lyngenfjord Hotel.

Meet and Feed Reindeer at Lyngenfjord Hotel:
Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome from the hotel hosts.
Your experience begins with a visit to our reindeer enclosure, where you can get up close to these fascinating Arctic animals, feed them, and capture wonderful photographs. Reindeer have played an important role in the culture and way of life in Northern Norway for generations, and this is a unique opportunity to learn more about these remarkable animals.
After meeting the reindeer, you will be invited into the hotel's traditional lavvu (Sámi tent). Gather around a crackling fire, enjoy a warming drink, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere that makes winter in the Arctic so special.

Enjoy a Warming Lunch with Local Flavours:
After your outdoor experiences, a delicious lunch awaits you in the restaurant at Lyngenfjord Hotel.
Enjoy the hotel's traditional reindeer soup, inspired by local culinary traditions. This flavourful and warming dish is the perfect way to recharge after spending time in the fresh Arctic air.

Visit an Authentic Husky Farm:
After lunch, your adventure continues with a short minibus ride to a nearby husky farm.
Here, you'll have the opportunity to meet energetic and friendly sled dogs, an iconic part of Arctic life. Get to know the dogs, cuddle playful puppies when available, and discover how these remarkable animals are trained and cared for.
Your hosts at the husky farm will share insights into everyday life with the dogs, their incredible strength and enthusiasm, and the important role sled dogs have played throughout the history of the Arctic.
This visit offers a personal glimpse into life at a working husky kennel, along with plenty of fantastic photo opportunities.

DAY 2:Breakfast buffet:
Enjoy a delicious breakfast with panoramic views of the Lyngen Alps.

Free time:
Explore the beautiful surrounding area at your own pace.

You may borrow the hotel’s snowshoes for a walk through the forest and countryside, visit the nearby museum or marina, stroll along the shoreline below the hotel, or simply relax at the hotel.

Lunch:
Another opportunity to enjoy our traditional lunch – the Sami national dish Bidos.

Check-out:
Check-out is at 12:00. Luggage storage is available at the hotel until bus departure.
